I'm a firm believer that sitting for long periods of time is one reason so many of us are in back pain. You don't have to stop sitting completely, but there are ways to minimize the damage. I think stretching exercise is one of the best solution for this :) .

Hi
I need someone to talk with. I am having real difficulty in coping with my 30 year old back problem. Is there anyone out there that is similar to me? I have been told for 30 yrs that I have a 'bad back', non-specific pain.
I'm waiting for the results of an MRI scan, yet again, in the vain hope that I find out what my 'problems' are.
I am on 30 painkillers daily, morphine, creams, etc. I was on anti-inflammatory tablets until 3 weeks ago when they found a stomach ulcer. I'm in so much pain now, it's unbelievable. Depression is hitting me big time too, it's so hard to cope with, physically and emotionally.

My symptoms are below.
Continuous pain when I sit down / stand up / after bending down, its extremely painful to straighten up.
I'm extremely stiff and in pain after sitting down for several minutes, then standing up.
The right side is much worse than the left, but the left side has recently started too.
I can't stand up straight (after sleeping) for 30 - 60 minutes. Muscles are cramping up on both sides. (no curve in back)
Pain down my right buttock / groin then into my right calf. Bladder control has got worse, intermittently.
I'm extremely tired most of the time. My back stops me from sleeping, most of the time I wake up early morning (2-4am) in a lot of pain.
Stretching can help when I can do it, on a better day. Resting only helps sometimes if I lie down. Sitting down is very painful, especially in a morning.

Since stopping my anti-inflammatory tablets, my back has been so much worse.
I seem to be in pain every second of every minute of every day. The permanent ache in my neck and lower back is keeping me awake most nights until I get so tired that I sleep through the night.

I've tried nearly everything. Any help out there?
Carol

My L5-S1 is bulging degenerated disc. Decompression did not really work so I am looking for other solutions. Stretching helps but only relieves the pain for a short period of time. My back doctor wants to shave about 20% of my disc down but I am not ready to do that yet.

I have been looking for other surgical solutions but I am not sure what is the least evasive.

Ihave just purchased a single bottle of Heal and Soothe ( I have had to wait even to place this order until I could afford it and postage to Australia.) Can't wait to receive the supplement

My hope is that it can heal a skin cancer on my forehead which has been getting worse not better with salt water sponging for the past for weeks when it became an open wound.

I have used this product for back pain to find it healed a small knock to my leg which would also not heal for a month or more .... though that was never an open site,

When I placed my order an online booklet 'Healing Secrets' was offered as a bonus but I am on a protected site and could not download it. Could it be emailed to my email directly. With Sincere Thanks annie.brownsworth@hotmail.com

I do exercises regularly for back pain as well. Stretching definitely helps. I recently took up yoga, which seems to be helping. I have also been doing some investigating on mattresses and back pain. It seems that lack of support can create a slew of back problems. I found the information on http://www.qmattresses.com. From what I can tell, it seems that all of these really soft mattresses on the market aren't offering enough support. Even worse is the fact that so many mattresses start sagging such a short time after buying them and then they don't offer the right support. After reading it, I am definitely adding a new mattress to my list of ways to get rid of my back pain.

Back pain and depression are most definitely linked. With chronic back pain, normal movements of the spine are stopped due to the pain patterns. Unfortunately, normal movement patterns are essential for proper neural stimulation of the cerebellum (afferentation). When these afferent signals to the brain are altered, the cerebellum will not be stimulated as it should and cognitive and affective behaviour will be affected- meaning you will be depressed.
This is why I give this simple exercise to patients suffering with low back pain.
Done with the right frequency, this will greatly help low back issues as it moves the spine...
